The show got off to a good start on Friday 25 July with Paul Strzelecki, chairman of National Boat Shows (NBS), performing the opening ceremony.
After a year of planning the event which was supported by the industries North Wales Water Sports the organizers are delighted with the number of sales and very positive feed back from the most amazing First year Show in North Wales. Ben & Claire and the Team of helpers who also organize the hugely successful South Wales Boat Show are very happy with the result and feed back from the public and exhibitors from all over North Wales and further afield who attended at the Vaynol Estate nr Bangor. "In Three days North Wales marine industry met at one venue and together showed the off the vast range of products and services that are available in the area! with our experience and the benefit that the venue is very similar to Margam Park, this meant we were able to run the same great family features and events to mirror Margam including the successful and very popular Come and Try on the lake run by Swansea Water Sports and Plas Menai on the lake at the Vaynol to get people out on the water on various types of watercraft." said Ben. "We are already working on 2009! and already have most of this years exhibitors confirmed! how ever we will be very pleased to here from any one who may want to exhibit in 2009!"
